If you think yoga practitioners–especially teachers–are all about calm, you’re wrong. Some teachers bark like sergeants. “Authority” is their middle name and they make it clear right from the start that it’s either their way or the highway. This type of teachers may make students’ knees go weak but for others, this is what they need. On the other hand, there are teachers that are as caring as mothers and as sweet as sisters could be. They’ll take you by the hand and patiently guide you through every step.
However, regardless of the teaching manner you prefer, you should keep an eye out for the following qualities a good yoga teacher should possess:
Your yoga teacher must be a passionate practitioner, too. Find a teacher who is not only after teaching the discipline to earn a living; find someone who is zealous in enhancing his or her craft. Most importantly, your teacher should lead as an example. So look for one who is worthy to be emulated.
Your yoga teacher must be generous. In this context, generosity refers to his or her knowledge, experience, and learning. He or she should help you understand yoga beyond the back-breaking flexibility-challenging poses you’re taught. You must have answers to all your “whats” and “whys.” This way, you’ll be able to deeply understand the principles and significance of the practice.
Your yoga teacher must give you a sense of empowerment. Yoga should make you feel strong and confident as an individual. This relies heavily on the teacher. Again, learning yoga should go beyond your ability to touch your toes. Your teacher should help you break the surface and dive into the philosophy behind the discipline. Once you fully understand the true meaning of yoga, you’re one step closer to becoming a master, too.
Your yoga teacher should respect privacy. In a way learning yoga is like a contact sport. However, in this case, you’re not only physically close to your teacher but also mentally and, probably, emotionally close as well. Chances are you’d be sharing slices of your personal life with each other. Although these talks may come out naturally, you and your yoga teacher should have a confidentiality agreement.
Your yoga teacher should understand your needs. Not everyone learns at the same pace. So, your teacher should have the patience to work with your present physical aptitude and mental capability.

Then who are we?
We are Life, Jeeevan, Athma or the Soul who live in the body.
So LIFE + BODY = Living Body
ie Skeleton + Athma or Soul = Jeeva Athma (Living Body)
For Example a car how ever capabilities it has , it needs a driver to drive it. Like wise the body requires a soul to operate a body with out a soul it is a dead body.
An other example is that of a GSM Phone. The phone is like the body, the SIM in it is the Soul. once the instrument gets repaired we can use the sim in an another GSM phone.
Where is the Soul Located in the body?
The Soul is located in the center of the fore head.
What is the size of the Soul?
The smallest living being on earth is the amoeba or virus or Bacteria. They can be viewed only through a microscope. So its soul should be smaller than the amoeba itself to reside in it.So the size of the Soul is very small that we cannot see through our naked eye.We can see only our body that is made up of pancha thathuva (5 elements of nature ie Earth, Air, Water, Fire & Ether) in a mirror and not our soul.

What is there in the Soul?
Soul consists of 3 elements namely Mind,Intellect and the Sanskar.
Mind:- Our Mind creates 32 thoughts per minute , Thoughts are of 4 Types they are the good thoughts,bad thoughts, useful thoughts and waste thoughts.One can reduce the thoughts per minute by the use of Raja Yoga Meditation. It is impossible to make it to 1 or 0 thoughts per minute.One will have thoughts till he is alive
Intellect:- The duty of the intellect is to judge the thought and advices us to the right thing.The action performed is depended on how powerful the soul is.If the Soul is powerful the mind listens to the intellect and performs the act. If the Soul is weak the mind does what it thinks and does not go with the intellect.
Sanskar:- If we do good it is called Puniya , If we do bad deeds it is called Pava. This is recorded in sanskar of our Soul. We take different births based on the good deeds or bad deeds that we do, That is why we say if some one is born in a rich family we say he has done good deeds in his previous birth, If some one is seriously ill or handicapped by birth we say he has committed sin in his previous birth.
Characteristics of the Soul :- Soul is an energy. It can neither be created nor it can be destroyed.
I would like to conclude this topic with a Story. There was a person he had 3 friends. One would be with him 24/7 and the next friend once in a week’s time and the 3rd friend used to visit him once in a year.
One day He had a serious problem, So he asked the help of the friend who is available 24/7, He quietly refused saying that I can be with you 24/7 but cannot help. Then he asked the help of the friend whom he used to meet once in a week.He also denied saying the same.He was worried , his 3rd friend met him occasionally and saw him sad and enquired the problem. To his surprise the 3rd friend was ready to help.
Do you know who are these friends
1. The first friend is his body,it will not come with him when he dies
2. It is his relatives , even they will not come when he dies
3. Third is his sanskar his good and bad deeds, which will accompany him to his next birth
My humble request to all who read this is that let us do only GOOD and avoid doing BAD to others, As this is the only thing that we can carry from this birth.
When we look in every one as Souls we do not have discretion in the name of religion,caste,nationality etc.

After being informed that the audience would have some professing Christians who do yoga, this talk “Dangers of Yoga and Kundalini” was given.
This talk includes Purvi’s testimony of her journey as a former devoted Yogi to a follower of Jesus Christ/Yeshua haMashiach as well as an analysis of Yoga from a biblical perspective for the first hour. The second portion is a question and answer session.
Disclaimer: In this video I suggest pilates as an alternative to yoga. I have learned since this talk that too many modern pilates classes are mixing yoga into the routines and it can be difficult to decipher for many. I do regret so liberally recommending pilates. I would recommend free style stretching , dancing, and general muscle toning as well as cardio exercises without hesitation. Sorry for any confusion or hindrance I may have caused!

Step by Step inflation instructions for your Live Infinitely Forever Flex anti-burst exercise ball.
1. Remove your Forever Flex yoga ball from the box and plastic wrap unfolding the ball while you do this.
2. Check the general condition of the yoga ball for any rips or punctures before inflating. Don’t be alarmed if the ball has creases in the material, as these will go away after inflating and allowing the ball to stretch.
3. Next remove the included hand pump and accessory bag which includes an extra air plug and plug remover tool.
4. Slide the “U” shaped air plug remover tool under the plug that is already inside the ball to gain access to the air opening.
5. Place the air nozzle of the included hand pump into the opening and fill the exercise ball to about 80% of its published size and allow the ball to stretch to 24 hours before inflating to its final diameter. Once the desired level is reached remove the pump and quickly reinstall the white plug into your yoga ball.
6. After allowing the ball to stretch place the ball against a wall and measure how far away the further most edge is. At full inflation this number should be the size of your selected yoga ball. (55cm, 65cm etc.)
7. A properly sized yoga ball should allow your knees to be at a 90-degree angle while sitting on it with your thighs parallel to the floor.
NOTE: DO NOT over inflate as this could damage the yoga ball. Video Rating: / 5
Looking at the nature of karma, Sadhguru characterizes karma as a coiled spring within that must release itself. Most people cannot meditate unless they exhaust the karma of activity within themselves. The prarabdh… The prarabdh karma is like a coiled up spring, it has to find its release. If you don’t give it constructive work, it will find release in all kinds of perversions. It is like a coiled up spring, within this lifetime it has to release itself. And considering all the risks that are there to physical life – you know, your physical form is never really safe, any moment it can get crushed under something – considering that, prarabdh is anxious. Prarabdh is always trying to find the quickest possible expression. So when you have a tense spring sitting inside you, you cannot… you sit there for half-an-hour then you want to do so many things. Have you noticed this? You sit for meditation, you sit like this, body tells you this is not the asana; you sit like this, this is not the asana, sit like this, this is not the asana. Try any goddamn asana, it’ll tell you this is not it. Have you tried? Try to sit there for three, four hours then you will see what it is. So this is simply because there is a coiled up stuff, it has to find its way. So the best way is to get into that kind of activity that it’ll wear you out, by the time you go to bed if you put your head… even two inches before it touches the pillow you’re dead, really
So it’s very important that the karma or the energy that is allocated for activity is expended as quickly as possible so that stillness becomes a reality, not just an idea.

Jennifer has developed a devoted following because of her unique teaching style which blends the wisdom of Hatha Yoga, vigorous Vinyasa, cleansing Kundalini, and a deep understanding of the physical and energetic body. Her lively classes bring a fresh awareness to timeless principles of skeletal alignment and muscular engagement, that builds strength, skill, and fluidity to support one’s personal practice. Her passion for bodywork and Thai Yoga Massage influence her love for teaching ‘Hands-On Adjustments for Yoga Asana’ which will be an integral part of the training. This will be combined with the unique experience of practicing with the on-going class schedule at the studio. Jennifer’s compassion and willingness to hold space for growth has made her an accessible mentor and friend to the hundreds of yoga teachers she has trained.
Jennifer will be assisted by Jennilee Toner,E-RYT 200 who is an exceptionally experienced and talented Yoga Teacher and Yoga Anatomist. There will also be other surprise guest teachers.

You can’t bend more than what your pants will allow you, so if you are going to be doing yoga you need to find right pants.
Yoga requires more flexibility than any other past time you will encounter and so the pants should be the most flexible pants buy able.
You want to wear something snug and fitting to your body that will express the lines and definitions of the poses and postures you contort yourself into. You also want your yoga pants to be breathable and to absorb moisture.
While yoga is a low impact form of exercise and meditation it does burn calories and utilize your muscles to maintain and hold the poses you are required to do. Avoid this pose if you have digestive disorders, a spine injury or high blood pressure, avoid doing this pose.
2. Veerbhadrasana 1 or warrior pose:
Benefits: This aasana stretches your back, strengthens your thighs, buttock and tummy and helps you lose weight.
Avoid this pose if you have high blood pressure, shoulder, knee or back trouble, please perform this pose under the guidance of a trained teacher.
Steps to do this pose:
Stand with your feet together and hands by your side.
Now extend your right leg forward and keep your left leg extended backwards.
Gently bend your right knee so that you get into the lunge position.
Twist your torso to face your bent right leg.
Slightly turn your left foot sideways (about 400-600) to give you that extra support.
Exhale, straighten your arms and raise your body up and away from your bent knee.
Stretch your arms upwards and slowly tilt your torso backwards so your back forms and arch.
To get out of this pose exhale and straighten your right knee. Now push off your right leg and come back to your original position. You can use your hands to support you. Do not rush out of this pose; you might injure your back or legs. Repeat this aasana for the other leg as well.
Veerbhadrasana 2 or warrior pose 2:
Benefits: This aasana is great to strengthen the muscles in your back, thighs, abdomen and core and also helps you with weight loss.
Avoid this pose if you suffer from diarrhea or high blood pressure.
Steps to do this pose:
Follow the same steps as Veerbhadrasana I, but instead of raising your hands above your head twist your torso so you face sideways and raise your hands to either side (so your fingers are extended and are parallel to your extended right and left leg).
Now, turn your head so your eyes are facing in the same direction as your right hand. Repeat this posture for the other leg as well.
3. Utkatasana or the chair pose:
Benefits: It strengthens the core muscles, thighs and tones the buttocks.
Avoid this pose if you have a knee or back injury.
4. Vrksasana or tree pose:
Benefits: This aasana is great for the muscles of your abdomen and tones the thighs and arms.
If you have injured your knee or back please do this aasana under the supervision of a trained expert.
Steps to do this pose:
Stand with your legs together.
Now put most of your weight on one leg and a little weight on the other leg.
Now raise the leg with the least weight such that your foot is facing inwards, towards your opposite knee.
You can hold your ankle to help you pull up the leg.
Place the heel of your foot on your inner thigh of the other leg, as close to the pelvis as possible.
Now gently raise your hands above your head making sure your fingers are pointing towards the ceiling.
Make sure you focus your mind and try to maintain your balance.
