What Is The Scientific Reason Behind One Of The Most Common Punishment Methods?
Do you know the rationale behind the old Indian punishment of crossing the hands across the chest, holding both ear lobes, and sitting down and getting up as many times as the master demanded? This was the punishment method out to students weak in studies from the days of the Gurukul. This exercise increases blood flow to cells in the brain, thus enhancing memory and improving coordination between the right and left lobes of the brain, leading to enhanced calmness and concentration. Holding the ear lobes activates the pressure points that stimulate brain cells, thus helping those with learning disabilities.
